Weekly Results - 6/18/23

Only 4 images? Perhaps... but that's 3 whole reworked sprites, start to finish- expressions and outfits too! And then there's the Shen there, but we'll get to him in a second.

Next week I plan to keep myself busy, especially since Final Fantasy XVI comes out this upcoming Thursday(!) and I am ridiculously hyped. 

So! Let's go over this lot before I get to the extra small(?) decision I've made to ease up something.

1. Atlas!

Weekly Results - 6/12/23

One serious thing and two less-than-serious things here. Was gone for a chunk of the week and found out one of my goals was a bit silly at the time, so I'll be doing Aquilo, Atlas, and Som's resprites this upcoming week, on top of the other things I plan on doing.

Weekly Results - 6/5/23

There's just 5 (I think) more sprites I have to get out of the way before all the sprite stuff is done, assuming I haven't missed anything! There might still be so much work (mainly with CGs and backgrounds and music and writing and- yeah) but being so close to finishing up such a massive part of the relaunch is really encouraging! At this point, it's just Matt, Aquilo, Cass, Atlas, and Som, the latter two of those will be getting bigger sprite updates a la Sid here, but.....

Weekly Goals and Results 7! Oops! - 4/30/23

Neck Hurty - 4/20/23

long story short, I need to get new pillows or something. I've woken up twice now after sleeping all wrong, and my neck has been obliterating me to the point where even sitting up causes massive, massive pain. This obviously causes issues with my progress. Since I'm losing time I'll be adding Saturday and Sunday to the mix to hopefully get a bit more progress done.

Weekly Goals 6 - 4/17/23

This week's - 4/12-4/18 - Weekly Goal will be the same sprite stuff as the last week's, and finishing 10 days of Jehu's redraft, 2 per day. This means there'll be some sprite re-shading this time around!

on top of that, I'll be working on the new patron tier idea I have. Hopefully I can get that done this week!

Weekly... Results? 4/14/23

Ok so, the long story short is that this week was kind of a dud. I got a good chunk of Jehu's route redraft done, but only about half of it. Turns out there's some weird funkiness that comes with writing these things and needing to be very precise about what happened/will happen! That said, I can't force myself to keep working tirelessly on it, since the burnout seriously negatively impacts the quality of the plan, and that'll just cause massive issues later in development...

Whoops! Forgot to upload this after I finished it earlier today! He lost some of his shine, but honestly... I think he looks pretty dang good! Might toy around with re-adding that shine for paragons specifically before I export them for use in-game, but I think he's looking pretty good!

Jehu and his new outfits! - 4/3/23

I think I'll be doing one of these every day, so at the end of the week we have the boys all made up and ready to go. As far as how long shading goes, I believe Jehu will probably have been the most time-consuming. The mans goes through quite a few outfit changes!

I'll be going by update order, so Paul will be Tuesday, Alan Wednesday, Shen Thursday, and Jorge Friday. I'm really enjoying myself with this new shading style, and it definitely has been going faster than ...

Status Update Part... what am I on now? - 3/11/23

Alright, so. Starting this upcoming Sunday, I'll be doing an experiment with Weekly Goals. Essentially, I've estimated how much time any specific task takes (art wise, for now) and I've estimated how much time in a week I can spend on this stuff. With those in mind, I've made a goal using the Update Order poll I took earlier, giving me a list of things I plan to get done in the week and an order in which to do them.
