Kisaki has already tried to kill Takemitchy two, maybe three times, and this time succeeded in the future and eliminated his way of getting back. You'd have to make the choice. Who's in more danger right now, Emma, or me. Honestly it wouldn't even be fight or flight. He'd had to come to the conclusion in that moment that his dying would be less detrimental to Kisaki's plans than Emma's dying. To be real honest here though... they both saw a motorcycle coming at them dragging a metal baseball bat, and they both stood still. They're both dumb.

And he should know by now how far Kisaki is willing to go. Heโs literally the reason why his girl gets obliterated by a truck in front of his eyes. And then he has the audacity to say โHE WOULD HIT A GIRL??โ MFER DO YOU NOT REMEMBER WHAT HE HAD DONE TO HINATA??? Things surprise Takamichi that shouldnโt be surprising himโฆ He knows how important Mikey is, and that the people he is close to are in danger, and for some reason he thinks Emma is safe in a situation where two guys on a motorcycle with a bat is coming towards them? That is inexcusable. Also, he literally shot Chifuyu in the head right in front of him. There is no acting surprised about the type of person Kisaki is. And women have never been off limits in the show. HE KNOWS THIS. Pah-chinโs girlโs rape? He knew about it. Hell, just last arc our main antagonist beat the shit out of his sister in front of him.

2023-11-01 23:26:13 +0000 UTCRealistically, the concept had just come to him seconds before, he hadn't confirmed anything, and the person who just shot at him and Naoto in the future came charging at him on a motorcycle with a metal baseball bat... dodging the hit when you think he's coming for you is an understandable reaction. For all he knows, Emma died of a disease or something. Expecting someone to put all that together in seconds, and rush to protect her from the bat instead of himself seems a bit unrealistic. He didn't jump out of the way, he literally ducked to avoid the blow he thought was coming for him. He wasn't aware that Emma was in any danger.
