Some BTS content of my cover for A Prince Among Pirates by Katie Abdou for Simon & Schuster!
There was a lot of pose refinement on this cover, which I donโt mind because thumb-nailing poses is one of my favorite parts and it forces me to get really creative with body language.
Here we were trying to find the perfect balance of the rivals to lovers, haughty prince vs rugged pirate dynamicโ so each pose is varying concoctionโs of each. Really fun to experiment with, and glad we kept the โstealing the captains hatโ idea. ๐
Which pose is your favorite?

I think I like 3 and 7 but i totally get why they went with the cover they did. I love the versatility here though!
