The meaning of the cards also has an additional layer of complexity with the stories from the CB universe giving us context from which to view how the people featured in each card also influence the interpretation, just like the illustrations on Tarot cards IRL can be used in their interpretation. A person who doesnโt know the intended meanings can make assumptions about the โvibeโ of a tarot card based on the artwork, symbolism and the characters represented in them, sometimes accurately and sometimes not. We make value judgements on the intent based our perception of the people on the cards and the meaning can change based on both our own circumstances and how they make us view those icons, as well as our understanding of the icons themselves and what they representโฆ someone with no knowledge of CB will view Pavel completely differently from someone familiar with the lore and even people familiar with him will hold different feelings toward him based on their own experience, like if they children, or if they have experienced loss, betrayal etcโฆ The ability to apply your own perspective to the interpretation is exactly the beauty of tarot; thereโs a guideline for what the cards are intended to represent, but itโs up to you to interpret their connection with our circumstancesโฆ were the cups spilled to prevent you from getting enough to drink or to protect you from drinking the poison they contained?
