I am watching this first time with y'all. I really liked that artie scene where he had that speech about Tony. It's cool because I feel like artie is as surprised as we are -- he's not really mad -- just caught off guard by this clear talent Tony has for perceiving people's needs and exploiting their weaknesses. And I like Tony's reaction -- a narcissist hates when their sense of self is threatened/ego threatened. Artie calling Tony a hawk angers tony because tony can't argue with the logic of it, and Tony can't make himself out to be right in that scenario.

James Gandolfini said he thought The Sopranos was so popular because it was about children, parents and families. Everyone can relate to that. Even the mafia part was about a family. I was under the assumption that The Wire was extremely popular. I imagine Asia and BJ will react to the series if they find enough people want them to.
