Liam (Angel when he was human) was what The First said, a drunk, womanizing, selfish man with no goals or thought of anyone else probably. Angelus was probably one of the most evil of vampires. Angel though has the weaknessโs of vampires (needs blood to function, canโt be out in the day, stakes will kill him, etc.) but he curbs impulses to try to help and make amends. The First says she/it brought him back but I always took that as another lie to manipulate him. I always took the freak snow storm blocking out the sun to save Angel as a higher power saying we still have work for you to do.
