Happy Halloween!
If I'm being completely honest I never expected this video to be such a rabbit hole!
Just trying to figure out when the Toccata and Fugue in d minor first appeared in silent film was a rollercoaster of a ride.
Who would've thought that the first synchronized instance of one of the most famous pieces of organ music, was in an orchestral arrangement!?
I lost count of how many times I went back and forth on small details with this video, it was an adventure to say the least.
And 'fipple' is still such a fun word to say

2020-11-01 05:11:48 +0000 UTCOk finished the video, definitely my favorite one you've made so far. In some ways I do wish the organ were less mysterious of an instrument. Home organs, and more recently digital instruments have given people access to the classic church organ sound that you once needed to beg the pastor at a local church for the key so that you can practice (from experience). People like Cameron Carpenter I hope will bring the organ more into the mainstream and make people more comfortable around the instrument. Organists aren't gods (even though some certainly think they are). We just play the best instrument ever made.
