Not too sure where the thought of only a certain rank could take lost pet jobs came from. Any adventurer party rank D and below can take lost pet jobs, which is why Rudy's brand new party could take the lost cat job. The other party kept their rank at D so they could continue taking lost pet jobs so they can continue their easy money scheme. On the topic of if the other kidnappers were also killed, I honestly have no clue. I doubt Ghislaine would just kill captured people, so I'm going to assume she handed them in to the city guards, and brought the main dude back to the manor because he was the mastermind behind it so they wanted to deal with him... personally? Or maybe question him further. I mean, the point is moot since they're probably all dead now anyways. I can't see this world's justice system being lenient on kidnapping nobles. Regarding whether you can plan to improvise or not... I'm not even touching this one, lol. You guys argue about the stupidest shit sometimes, it's great.
