It's always Halloween in my soul.

I had a bunch of church caricatures to post, but I'm in a mess and misplaced my SD card AND the sketchbook the drawings were in 😬. So have a vintage Halloween Basil I drew today, because I'm so swamped with work that I was nodding off drawing the speakers. 

I watch Dina Norlund on YouTube and she suggested using plain ol' BIC soft feel ballpoints for inking and I find they're pretty decent actually, and they work great with watercolours and don't bleed, they do have...

A Favourite Artist

Yesterday I had the great opportunity to attend a workshop in Waterton about my favourite artist Annora Brown. I first learned about Annora a couple of years ago when I was helping make an exhibit of her at the Fort. I soon bought her two books and obsess over her paitings.

I am so sorry for this page being so late! It's been a bumpy New Year so far, but rest assured I plan on getting things going again, I already have the next four or five pages inked and the next two (and a bit of three coloured.) I have started to try and not worry about cleaning my inks up as much, just to save time and ease myself of the stress of perfection, same with colouring, and I kind of like the results more so than the clean, but tight and rigid inks I've been doing...

I want to apologize for being so bad at updates.  I was doing really good until I actually got a full-time job in March (yay!) and everything as far as spare time goes kind of went down the drain.  

I'm hoping near the middle end of June things might calm down a bit (fingers crossed I worked 72 hours with only 2 hours sleep last weekend... still have the shakes haha!)
